Hey referral link: Lens social app with on-chain postsSocial on Lens

Hey Referral Link

Use the official ReferralLinks referral link below to join Hey, a client for the Lens Protocol. The handle namyleusa travels in the link. Hey publishes its posting costs in detail but not a referral reward, so this page sticks to what its documentation actually says.

Open Hey now

Click the button to open Hey with our referral link, then sign in with the wallet that will own your Lens account. Keep the tab open while the flow runs.

What is Hey?

Hey (hey.xyz) is a Lens client: you read, create and interact with posts, reposts, quote posts and comments whose social graph and records live on public blockchain networks, not in a closed Hey database. You sign in with an EVM-compatible wallet that controls your Lens account, and Hey states it never holds your keys or custody of your funds. Publishing can create on-chain records, so successful steps are permanent.

How the Hey referral link works

1. Open our link

The handle namyleusa travels in the ref parameter, so the app can record it when you create or connect an account through the link.

2. Sign in with your wallet

Use the EVM wallet that will own your Lens account. Keep that wallet handy for the rest of onboarding.

3. Confirm inside the app

Hey does not publish referral reward terms, so verify anything you are promised in the app rather than on a third-party page.

What posting actually costs

Hey charges a flat 0.09 native GHO per publishing action as a Social Payment, before gas. In the global feed a new post sends the full 0.09 to the protocol treasury, while a comment, repost or quote sends 0.045 to the treasury and 0.045 to the root post author. In group feeds the split also includes the group owner. Self-interactions on your own root post still cost 0.09, but the author share goes to the treasury.

Costs to budget for

  • 0.09 GHO per publishing action, before gas.
  • Gas for the publication transaction and again for each fee step.
  • Possible charges on failed actions when the failure is outside Hey's control.
  • Several confirmations per flow, each a separate wallet prompt and a separate transaction.
  • Amounts can change with protocol or app updates. Your wallet always shows the exact value before you send.

On-chain means permanent

Hey tells users to assume successful on-chain steps are permanent. Media and metadata are typically uploaded to decentralized storage through the Lens stack, and content you remove from the app can still leave traces on-chain or in indexes. There is no support desk that can quietly delete a record, so publish as if the post stays.

What you get with the referral link

A portable Lens account

Your social graph lives on public networks, not in one app's database, so the account is yours rather than the client's.

Creators get paid

When someone comments, reposts or quotes your post, part of their 0.09 GHO reaches you on settlement, with no claim step.

No custody

Hey never holds your keys or your funds. Every approval and transaction is signed by your own wallet.

Free to use the link

A referral link never adds a cost. The GHO fee and gas are the protocol's charges, not the link's.

Before you connect a wallet

Type hey.xyz into the address bar or use the link above, and check the domain before you sign in.

Read every wallet prompt. Two confirmations in one flow is normal here, but an amount or contract you do not recognise is not.

Assume posts are permanent and count the 0.09 GHO and gas per action before you commit to a posting habit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Hey referral link?

The ReferralLinks link is https://hey.xyz/?ref=namyleusa. The ref parameter identifies the referring handle when you create or connect an account through it. Hey does not publish referral reward terms.

Does Hey hold my funds or my keys?

No. You sign in with an EVM-compatible wallet that controls your Lens account, and Hey states it has no custody of your private keys or the funds in your wallet.

How much does posting on Hey cost?

A flat 0.09 GHO Social Payment per publishing action, before gas. Comments, reposts and quotes split 0.045 to the protocol treasury and 0.045 to the root post author in the global feed.

Why does my wallet ask for two confirmations?

Because the flow has more than one on-chain step, such as attaching a fee module to a publication and then paying the network fee. Each step is a separate transaction.

Can I delete a post I published on Hey?

The app may let you edit or delete things in its interface, but Hey tells users to assume successful on-chain steps are permanent, and content can persist in indexes and decentralized storage.
